The solar path of site would suggest locating a long building volume east to west pushed toward the southern boundary, however the ocean and golf course views suggest a north south orientation. Our proposed layout takes cues from both forces by staggering the building volumes. By doing so the main living spaces both take full advantage of solar access while still enjoying the sites views. 

The proposed building form is divided into two modular cabins. Each module has been designed to serve multiple functions and is positioned to take full advantage of the site conditions. Each module maintains one room in width to enhance the connection to the site. 

A courtyard separates each module and expands the whole building length. The courtyard has been designed to exploit the sites sun path whilst also providing protection from the prevailing winds.
