The inspiration of this project lies in thinking about the vibrant dynamics of a large family, embracing the joys of the chaos. The spaces within are envisioned to be both playful and adaptable, mirroring the family's aspiration to foster connections with loved ones and their local community.

Stacked bond concrete masonry forms a heavy base, expressed externally and internally, creating depth for window reveals, and presents the opportunity for inviting bench seating, cosy reading nooks, courtyards, blocks of storage, interesting pockets for family life and daily rituals.

At the heart of the design, a central hallway serves as the spine of the home, facilitating smooth circulation to every corner. Along this thoroughfare, diverse programs unfold, catering to the multifaceted needs of the household.

The interior mood is defined by a vibrant and tactile palette, where materials are selected for their raw, natural finish. From the warmth of lime-washed plywood to the contemporary flair of green vinyl flooring, each element is thoughtfully chosen to evoke a modern interpretation of mid-century design, resonating with the clients' vision for their dream home. Texture and profile play integral roles, adding interest and character to every space, in harmony with the overarching theme of dynamic familial living.
